Various Names of a Provisionary that Lasts is a project that examines thinking models behind taxonomy and etymology—how names are formed for collective behaviors, mindsets, spaces, and objects. The project convenes artists and writers to propose a term for a hybrid tool (a can opener attached to an electric drill), seeking a description born from the same necessity that produces such provisional devices.
